This facts were mentioned  in a report based on a survey by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) in Cochin. The report also mentions that the total space that are available in the ongoing projects by various builders is around 80 lakh sqrt ft. 

 “Though the total projects (both residential and commercial) as on July 2012 was 562, it has gone up to 700 projects in July 2013. In a span of just one year 157 lakh sqft was added to the real estate sector. Two and three BHK contributes 85 per cent of the residential units in the city, where the 3BHK segment dominates, with 63.5 per cent of the customers preferring it. In the district, the work of 269 residential projects with an area of 363.5 lakh sqft are going on now,” the study said.

So naturally there will be question arising that whether its possible for these builders to find buyers for their upcoming flat and apartment projects in Cochin?
